Hi y'all! I figured a good way to start off blogging would be to write a post about one of my alters. For those of you who don't know what an alter is; an alter or alternate personality is a person who exists inside my head because of childhood trauma. This person can take control of my body and do anything they want to without me remembering what happened. Basically, I have additional people sharing a body with me. I'll go into a lot more detail when I write a post about my disorder, but until then just know that I have what's called dissociative identity disorder (previously multiple personality disorder). Please also note that the description I provided above is very basic and not full encompassing of the disorder.
The first alter I wanted to introduce you to is Aliya Rose. Aliya is 32 years old, female, and pansexual. She is the leader of my system (a system is basically a group of alters who help the host [ie me] deal with life) and also one of my core protectors. She keeps me safe from physical, emotional, and sexual harm. She was always one of my protectors, however, went by a different name and look until I was 18 years old. Before I turned 18, she was known by Lilith Rose and had a much darker and younger appearance.
As you can see in the pictures, Aliya is blonde with green eyes. She has a side fringe that goes over her left eye. The outfit she usually wears is a long red dress with a slit down the right side. The reason for this being that she has a holster that holds a custom revolver engraved with roses. Bodywise, Aliya is very skinny and also very tall. She likes to wear black heels.
Aliya is very much a witch. She practices magick and likes to work with crystals and herbs. In my headspace, she can be seen using magick spells like telepathy to help her do things around the headspace.
This is just a very brief rundown on Aliya. I've posted a bit about her on my Instagram. Alters are just as complex as "real" humans and I'm afraid it would take me all day to fully and completely describe her. That being said, she appreciates this opportunity to tell y'all a little bit about herself.
